Are you endlessly searching the internet to either learn how to play golf or fix one of your big misses? You have now found a great resource for your golf game!
Thank you for taking the time and effort to spend time watching, listening and reading these golf tips. It’s an honor for me to help you succeed at this wonderful game.
Here is a little about me and why I want to do this Golf Tips section for you!
My passion for golf and golf instruction began a long time ago when I started taking the game seriously around age 13. Every day during the spring, summer even winter months growing up in Mt. Prospect, IL. I fell in love with the game of golf! I could play and hit golf balls and practice my short game into the dark. I never wanted to leave the golf course!
I played competitively in high school and then went into the PGA of America after college. After I passed my player ability test to become a PGA Golf Professional, I went the club pro route folding shirts, running tournaments, going to budgeting meetings, greens committee meetings, food and beverage meetings and cart fleet management meetings!
Exciting stuff! Yeah Right lol! Just not passionate about growing grass or how the member had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get there meals! Not judging because I know a ton of amazing superintendents and great food and beverage managers. Again just not passionate about the soup,
However, I always had a passion for golf instruction and even club fitting. I loved learning about how to help golfers play better golf. In my mind, that’s why I became a PGA Golf Professional. So that’s why I am introducing you my Jess Frank Golf Academy’s official Golf Tips section of my website!
My journey into golf instruction began with a fortuitous meeting. I was fortunate to cross paths with Paul Barnsly in 2000 at one of my PGA of America Golf Professional Training Programs. Paul was Hank Haney’s lead instructor for 15 years. Meeting Paul put me on the track of learning from the greatest instructors of all time. I was fortunate to learn from Hank Haney, Jim Hardy, Jim McLean, Martin Hall, Bob Toski, Kevin Battersby, Barry Goldstein, Manuel De La Torre, Andy Plummer, Mike Bennett, Craig Harmon, Mike Bender, Dan Malizia.
Watching these professional golf instructors teach, I was able to formulate a system to help golfers play better golf. My passion for learning never ends. The way I feel is the more I learn from the game’s most successful instructors the more I can pass along to my students to help them improve quicker so they play more golf! I am in this for the long-term. There is nothing like the feeling of a well-struck golf shot.
This website is all about you! The golfer! The beginner golfer! The mid-handicap player! The weekend hacker/trunk slammer golfer! The golfer who just loves to go to the driving range hitting balls! I hear all the time during my lessons and on the driving range, there are certain parts of the game that most golfers are looking to improve.
Do you fit into one of these categories?
- More consistency?
- Ending your slice or hook forever?
- Searching for Power?
- Lowering your scores?
- Avoiding embarrassment with your friends, family or colleagues?
- Just learning the game of golf for fun?
- Closing more deals on the course?
- Family fun?
- Exercise?
- Fixing your short game?
I call it “THE SMILE.” This is the reaction I see from my students after they have had a breakthrough. After a solid golf shot that flies in the direction and distance of the intended target as a golfer, you know what it feels like. This is why I do what I do! I love to teach golf because of the rewards I receive. Selfishly, I love getting texts, emails and phone calls about great shots, great rounds and great memories made on the golf course!
I have witnessed “The Smile” happen after chip-ins, crushed drives, pitch shots, sand shots, and the biggest smile I get is when a new golfer gets the ball airborne for the first time ever! I am fortunate to have this experience on a regular basis. The beginner golfer hitting a high solid golf shot gives me goosebumps just thinking about the sound and reaction!
My golf tips section of my Jess Frank Golf Academy website will hopefully give you “THE SMILE!” You are going to receive an inside behind-the-scenes double secret look into what has made the golfers I have taught successfully on the golf course. There are a lot of golfers out there who do not live in the South Florida area to have a personal one on one golf lesson with me. So I thought the best way was to bring all the material to you directly. You are going to find something that will help you with every aspect of your game.
