Learn to improve your iron shots:
Many of the golfers I watch on the lesson tee and range at Deer Creek Golf Club in Deerfield Beach, FL have in their minds they have to lift the ball into the air. Golf instruction at the Jess Frank Golf Academy includes information about how the golf club already has loft built into the club to get the ball to fly in the air. It’s the golfer’s job to apply the face of the golf club into the back of the golf ball to create loft.
My passion is to help you the golfer get better! I want you to hit the ball farther, straighter, higher and more consistently. Proper golf instruction will help you play better golf in Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Miami, South Florida, and basically any where in the world. One of the ways I expand my knowledge is by continuing education through the PGA of America South Florida Section.
While attending one of our South Florida PGA Seminars at the Trump Jim Mclean Teaching Center Trackman data was presented showing the bottom of the swing occurring 3-6 inch after the ball with PGA and LPGA Tour players. This the means the golf club strikes the ball and then strikes the ground 3-6 inches after the ball. Just having this knowledge as a golfer will help you play better golf. The bottom of the swing for most golfers is probably 3-6 inches before the golf ball.
In the video below, I am going to show you the fundamentals on how to create solid impact along with getting your bottom of the swing to be 3-6 inches after the ball. This motion will probably feel a little unnatural from all of your years of trying to help the ball in the air. However, if the best players in the world are doing this all golfers should take notice.
Demonstrated in the video is how to create your bottom of the swing 3-6 inches in front of the golf ball. Having your weight forward is the #1 fundamental in creating a forward bottom. #2 fundamental is having your arms straight. You will be able to compress the golf ball into the face of the club doing these two fundamentals. Most club golfers have their weight on their back foot or trail leg and their arms are pulling apart with no structure.
I love helping people play better golf. I also love introducing new golfers to the game just the same as I love helping a lower handicap player. My passion is golf coaching and passing along information that will help you the golfer enjoy the game more and play the game more often. There is no better place in my opinion than to spend a couple of hours playing golf with friends, loved ones or business associates.
